Uri Indian Brigade Commander removed from station

The Indian Army officials have ordered the immediate shift of Brigade Commander K. Somashanker stationed Uri in Occupied Northern Kashmir, said Indian media reports. The orders were issued on Friday night after the attack on the Indian military base at Uri took place, taking the lives of 18 soldiers on 18th September.

India did not spare any moment in pointing the entire blame of the attack on Pakistan, an allegation which had been denied by the government and army officials of Pakistan. The said allegations have mounted between the two countries following the attack.

Hence, the shift has taken place by the Indian officials, proceeding the investigation on the attack alongside the continued unprovoked firing at Line of Control, Bhimbar sector today for four hours.
