The crown prince’s on Friday visited Turkey to enhance the political cooperation between the two countries facing security challenges in the region.
According to the sources, bin Nayef highlighted the “key role” of Turkey and Saudi Arabia’s cooperation in regard to regional peace and security.
The two countries have suffered from several terrorist attacks, and Turkish and Saudi experts have said that Saudi Arabia and Turkey are the countries most targeted by terrorist organizations.
Sukru Kirboga, head of Turkish Arab Cultural Association, said that terrorists would like to destabilize the region through attacks in politically stable countries. He said Saudi Arabia and Turkey play a vital role in enhancing security in the Middle East.
Aside from security cooperation, economic issues will be discussed between the two sides. Turkey is an Islamic country and has a long history of friendship and cooperation with the Kingdom. Therefore, cooperation with Turkey includes all aspects, Fahd bin Juma’a, vice president of the Energy and Economic Committee at the Shoura Council stated.
