Crackdown begins on selling second hand smartphones in Karachi

Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has commanded a complete crackdown of buying and selling second-hand smartphones throughout Karachi. CM has taken this decision, owing to the increase in mobile phone snatching and illegal selling in the black market.

During a security review meeting, the informants told Murad Ali Shah that the density of mobile phones being snatched in Karachi is greater either late in the night or early mornings. The ratio of peak times is dependent on the closed markets and empty streets.

Shah also expressed his concern over the improper placement of rangers and security authorities along with the increasing ratio of street crimes. He also commanded that improved safekeeping and safety measures should be taken for the protection of property and life of citizens.

Moreover, about 10000 security personnel have been ordered to take an action against the dacoits, and improve the law and order situation of the city.
