Nusret Gökçe’s, whose seasoning flair earned him the nickname Salt Bae and worldwide fame, will unveil his latest Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Pakistan. Nusret Gokce, widely known as Salt Bae for the dramatic flourish with which he showers salt on a steak, has been a butcher since he was 13. He has become better known as a chef since 2010, having opened a string of steakhouses in Turkey and the Middle East with his business partner, Mithat Erdem.
Mr. Gokce, 35, cuts a dapper figure; on the job he wears a white T-shirt and sunglasses and performs dazzling, precise knife work. And thanks to Instagram, for the past year he has become as recognizable as George Clooney.
There is now a whole Twitter page dedicated to #saltbae memes – which has more than 6,000 followers.
While Nusret’s own Instagram page has attracted 2.6 million fans, and his meme has cropped up in Melbourne graffiti and even T-shirts worn by Rihanna and Ben Affleck. And even Titanic star Leonardo DiCaprio is a fan of the much-loved web star.
Its still not confirmed which city the eatery will first land up in , I guess we will just have to wait a little more to enjoy the world famous Steaks.
