Punjab to introduce Dealer Vehicle System

 

Salman Sufi senior member of special monitoring unit said that the new system for the registration of vehicles is set to be introduced in Punjab.

Dealer Vehicle Registration System (DVRS) is being introduced in the province which will be launched next month; number plates and registration of a vehicle will be provided as a computerized card from now on. The card will store all information regarding the sale and purchase of the vehicle.

He added that the new system will also help in illuminating corruption and usage of vehicles with forged number plates in acts of terrorism as complete data of a vehicle will be saved and computerized under the new system.

The government has fixed fees of Rs. 2,000 for cars and Rs. 500 for motorcycles
