Pakistan celebrates its 51st Defense Day

Today on the 6th of September, Pakistan marks its 51st Defense Day after the war of 1965. On this day the whole nation unitedly commemorates the victory and sacrifices of the martyrs of 1965 with a patriotic and ecstatic way.

The Inter Services Public Relations arranged a full dressed parade that will take place at the Lahore’s Fortress Stadium, today. Moreover, a gun salute in the capital nearly at 10 am to 10:30 am would also take place and it has been officially announced to the citizens so that they would not get afraid.

Apart from that, preparations are on their way in Peshawar, whilst arranging an exhibition of the equipments used by the army officials for air defense; armor and artillery Corps, engineering instruments and many others. Along with that the Al-Khalid and Al-Zarrar tanks, Ababeel and Shahbaz Drones, arms and radar system used by the armed forces would also be displayed at the exhibition.

Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of Air Staff, said that the Pakistan Air Force has sound history of valor, gallantry and professional excellence in the defense of our motherland.

Furthermore, with the start of the auspicious day, special prayers were held in mosques for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and its people.
