Multiple people have been reported dead after a shooting on Friday (06-01-17) at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Deputies have confirmed that the shooter has been taken into custody.
Former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer posted on Twitter that “Everyone is running,” Fleischer said.

He said that the police had confirmed of one shooter and five victims.
“All seems calm now but the police aren’t letting anyone out of the airport,” Fleischer said. The airport’s official Twitter page claimed that there was “an ongoing incident” at the Terminal 2 baggage claim.
However, all flights are being allowed to land & take-off the airport as normal, according to air traffic controllers. Broward County’s mayor said that a single suspect was responsible for the entire incident.
