Every year, a survey is conducted by – “Sleeping in Airports”, which rates the airport experiences by asking travelers about the services and facilities available within the terminal. It also covers the cleanliness, customer service, comfort and their overall airport experience.
Those that secure the most negative feedback are entitled in the category of 10 ‘Worst Airports’ of the world. Receiving feedbacks such that the environment is dirty, uncomfortable and unfriendly, lacking the most basic of services and amenities.
Apparently, the Benazir Bhutto International Airport at Islamabad had been listed among the “10 Worst Airports in The World”, in 2012, ranking 3rd in position.
Continuing its race, the airport was once again ranked among the same list for the years 2013 and 2014, securing first position, attaining the title of the “Worst Airport in the World”.
However, according to the recent most survey by CNN, it also covered the report with lists for the worst and best airports across the world. And, this time, the list for “Worst Airports in World” didn’t include, the Benazir Bhutto International Airport of Islamabad.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is claiming that the exclusion of Islamabad Airport from the Worst Airports’ list is because of its devoted and steady efforts.
