There is a great potential in the youth. They are like dynamite. Dynamite can do great good when used in the right way. It can pave the way for new buildings, schools, lakes, highways, and numerous other projects which will benefit mankind. In the wrong hands, though, it can be used to take life, often thousands of lives. The youth have the same potential for good or bad. Youth can change their mindset at the speed of light and who are always instinctively on the cutting edge. Many times we don’t give our teens and young adults enough credit, we tell them what to do but we very seldom listen to them in return. But why not? We should, because their opinions are valid and their ideas are oftentimes refreshing. I’ve always believed that if we empower our young people to be the best they can be our global economy and world in general would be a better place.
“YOUTH ARE A BRIDGE BETWEEN THE PAST AND THE FUTURE. WHETHER THAT BRIDGE IS A SHAKY ONE OR A FIRM ONE DEPENDS UPON THE RAW MATERIALS FROM WHICH IT IS BUILT: FAMILY, CULTURE, EDUCATION, RELATIVE PROSPERITY, AND CHANCE.”
We need to embrace these kids, because they are the next generation of leaders, artists, and thinkers, the ones we’ll be looking up to one day, the ones who will be running this world, if they’re given the chance. It makes me further realize that our future can actually be brighter if we support our young people and encourage them to shine their own light.
The lives of the young people will affect the outcome of the future and also the continued existence of past traditions. Family, culture, and education are by no means the only thing that can affect the youth’s ability and willingness to progress and preserve. People should do their best to help the youth to find the right direction so they can positively serve their purpose.
“WE CANNOT ALWAYS BUILD THE FUTURE FOR OUR YOUTH, BUT WE CAN BUILD OUR YOUTH FOR THE FUTURE”
Pakistan is going through lots of problems mainly because of our own corrupt leaders and bad policies. Government should invest more and more money on educating youth as it has the power to build or destroy the nation. We are now the victims of poverty, black-marketing, hoarding, target killing and robberies, while the government is seen singing songs of praise for all that they have done. Top leaders are feathering their own nests and there are stories of large scale corruption on every level, while nothing is done to address this issue. We the youth of today has to take the helm of the country in our own hands and stand up for what Islam taught us. We should strive to bring a positive and pleasant change for the sake of humanity; for the survival of Pakistan. It is the youth that can serve this country best by integrity and competence in whatever is required for the nation’s prosperity. Thus, the youth of today has a very important role to play. It’s been 68 years and our youth has observed every thick and thin that Pakistan has been through, therefore, the youth has to become the voice as it is the only hope that can bring about positive change in our country, our pride – Pakistan.
