Babar Azam joins cricket legends by breaking 37-year-old record

Pakistan’s one of the finest cricket players Babar Azam has managed to break the most sought-after records; standing in the league of cricket giants. Azam is finally standing among the fastest players to reach one thousand one-day international (ODI) runs in third ODI against Australia at the WACA, Perth.

In a short span of 21 innings, Azam succeeded to attain this record.

Earlier, cricket maestros like Jonathon Trott, Quinton de Kock, and Sir Vivian Richards hold this record. Moreover, all of them also successfully reached the 1000 runs mark in just 21 innings, as well.

Babar made his cricket debut with Zimbabwe in 2015. He came into spotlight with three centuries; 120, 123, and 117; in a span of eight days against West Indies. Babar Azam also became the second player, after de Kock, to maintain three-match hundreds in same series.

We wish him heartiest congratulations for achieving this record in such a young age. He has definitely made us all extremely proud.
