Zara Clothing Store sews a dead rat in woman’s dress!

A woman based in New York found a rat sewn into her dress bought from Zara clothing store. In a surprising yet astounding revelation, the woman has accused the world-known apparel store of high level negligence and is demanding for the monetary compensation.

As stated by the court documents, Cailey Fiesel, a 24-year-old, is the accuser residing in Manhattan who bought two dresses from the Zara Store in Greenwich, Connecticut, on July 5. Since then, the dresses had been left hanging in the closet and she wore them a few weeks after buying them.

On August 16, Fiesel wore one of the dresses and noticed that there was a “pungent odor” radiating out of it, but couldn’t immediately grab the reason. She noticed a string brushing against her leg, and reached out to inspect what it actually was. But, the poor girl found out the thing that was totally unexpected. The court document described;

“To her utter shock and disbelief, as she ran her hand over the hem of the dress, she felt an unusual bulge and suddenly realized that it was not a string that was rubbing against her leg, but was instead a leg rubbing against her leg. The leg of a dead rodent, that is.”

Furthermore, Morelli Law Firm PLLC which is representing Fiesel reinstates that she had to go through “significant personal injuries and emotional distress”.

Later on, the poor victim of such a high-level carelessness by Zara revealed that she developed a rash which turned into a rodent-borne disease.  In repentance from the company, Fiesel is asking for money “in a sum that will fairly and adequately compensate her”.

Zara USA, when contacted for the statement, said;

“Zara USA is aware of the allegation and we are investigating the matter further. The brand has stringent quality controls and health and safety standards worldwide that are followed and met in manufacturing, including stitching and pressing. We are committed to ensuring that all of our products meet these rigorous requirements.”

It remains to be seen what turns out in this case of the massive inattention and incompetence by the famed retail brand- Zara.
