Following the blasphemous content that went viral on social media, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has demanded the concerned authorities that a planned strategy must be prepared to curb such character assassinations and content on social media.
The officials have been directed to strategize such a system in consultation with Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.
Nisar Ali also claimed that the system should not curb freedom of expression but at the same time one should not misuse the right provided constitutionally.
The concerned authorities were directed to be contacted to introduce local version of Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp.
He further said that prevention to someone’s character assassination, with a spread of controversial material, should be attained.
