Pakistan Governemnt imposes fine on Emirates Airlines

According to news reports, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Sunday has imposed a fine on Emirates Airline for boarding a foreign citizen with no valid and proper documentations. The foreigner has been deported for traveling without any valid documents.

According to FIA’s spokesman, the passenger namely Melanie Delos Santos (a Philippine national) had arrived at the Allama Iqbal Airport through flight no. EK-624 from Dubai. However, the passenger was instantly refused entry after verifying her travel documents and was sent back from the next flight to Dubai –  EK-625.

An official letter has been sent to Emirates Airline authorities to pay a fine of worth Rs. 500,000 for boarding an inadmissible passenger, having no valid Pakistani visa, the spokesman said.
