One million Mercedes-Benz to be recalled after 51 vehicles catch fire

After the 51 cases of Mercedes-Benz catching fire were unearthed, the German company Daimler AG has now decided to recall one million newer models due to the risk of them getting on blaze and putting the lives of people in danger.

The German company has reported that no cases of injuries or deaths have been brought to light so far. It further stated that the recalling would commence as soon as the relevant parts are available in the US market, by July this year. The recall will be eligible for the newer models including those from this year too.

A fix has been implemented in the production of new vehicles and vehicles on dealers lots will be fixed before they are sold, the company said. The problem that has been found is concerned with potentially fault fuse. Of the 52 fires reported, 30 belonged to the US market, which is among the three biggest markets for Mercedes-Benz. The other two in this category include Germany and China.

Daimler and Mercedes-Benz have announced that it will alert the customers starting this March. Moreover, the owners of this lavish car around the world would also be alerted of the recall, however when has not been specified yet.
