L’Oréal to sell The Body Shop to Brazil’s Natura

On Tuesday, L’Oréal, The Paris based group has announced to sell “The Body Shop” to a Brazil based company called “Natura.” L’Oréal had previously disclosed that the brand, The Body Shop was worth roughly $1.1 billion. This deal would surely be good for Natura. Natura is good chance for The Body Shop’s further growth, the investment and expertise which will help in improving the brand’s name. The Body Shop sells its products in 66 countries. The deal will have to be approved before it goes through after which it will be closed later this year. The Body Shop has been owned by L’Oréal since 4 decades now. It was founded in Brighton, England, by Dame Anita Roddick. Natura was founded in 1969 and its headquarters are in Sao Paulo.
