Google virtual museum tour is the best way to explore history in times of lock down, find out here!

COVID-19, the coronavirus disease, might stop you from traveling, but you can still visit cultural sites online using Google Arts and Culture. The tech company has 3,468 virtual museum tours from around the world, along with history and context for many pieces of art.

The worldwide death toll of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, is now more than 25,000, and the virus has infected more than 500,000 people, Business Insider reported.

On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) officially declared it a pandemic. The virus has disrupted travel worldwide, leading to flight cancellations, quarantines, and other breakdowns in movement.

According to Business Insider, residents in the San Francisco Bay Area were ordered to “shelter in place” until April 7, meaning that they must remain in their homes except for essential travel for groceries and medicine, and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo ordered all employees at nonessential businesses to work from home.

Whether you’re sheltering in place or simply minimizing travel and social distancing, Google Arts and Culture can let you pretend to see the world.
