The Ericsson Innovation Awards 2017 is all set to give students an opportunity to showcase their talent and skills for the betterment of world with the team ideas that can lead them to prizes up to €25,000.
So, what actually are Ericsson Innovation Awards 2017?
The Ericsson Innovation Awards is an yearly competition held between students from around the world. With relation to ICT and the sorts, this competition provide talented individuals to develop their ideas and flourish their skills.
The theme for this year is “Future of Food”, based on The UN Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger and Goal 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. Thus the ideas for this year support the methods which empower “Create Zero Hunger” globally.
“By 2050, the global population is expected to reach 9.6 billion. Ensuring that our food production and consumption is sufficient and sustainable is a major challenge, but also an opportunity to improve lives and the health of our planet. At Ericsson, we have seen at first-hand how ICT can impact the world for the better. How can your idea be a part of this development?”
Those who are interested in applying can make a team of 2-4 people anywhere in the world, with an idea that support the eradication of food shortage with a substantial solution. The deadline for applying to the program is 14th March, 2017.
All the sent applications will be reviewed by a jury of Ericsson members and 10 semi-finalists will be announced on the 31st of March. These semi-finalist will be mentored by Ericsson Experts. In the final stage, four finalists will be called to Ericsson headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, for HR interviews alongside the announcement of winner and top three.
The cash prizes for the top three finalist are as follows:
- 1st: 25,000/- Euros
- 2nd: 10,000/- Euros
- 3rd: 1,000/- Euros
