The Porsche that we all love is now Now joining the Macan in Macan S in its bestselling lineup of crossover SUVs is the Macan GTS, Porsche announced on Monday.
The Macan GTS has been absent from the range since 2018, but it rejoins its peppy brethren next summer, with a base price of $71,300.
According to Business Insider, Porsche of North America, the Macan GTS offers a 15-horsepower bump on the previous version, thanks to a 2.9-liter, twin-turbocharged V6, making 375 ponies.
Throw in a dual-clutch transmission and you’ve got “zero to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, or to the same speed in 4.5 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package, and on to top track speed of 162 mph,” Porsche said in a statement.
The torque is a tasty 383 pound-feet, and the adaptive-air suspension can drop the Macan GTS 10 millimeters, aiding higher-speed aerodynamics.
Business Insider reported that they were pretty jazzed by the Macan GTS when we sampled it in 2018. At the moment, with no Macan Turbo currently available, the GTS is the gnarliest Macan that’s going to hit the road for Porsche in the coming year.
