Haier-Pakistan will donate all electric appliances to Peshawar’s Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital, Chief Executive Officer and Peshawar Zalmi chairman Javed Afridi announced on Saturday.
The announcement was made during a meeting between Afridi and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan at the latter’s residence in Islamabad’s Bani Gala.
The Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Peshawar was inaugurated by a young cancer patient Fakhir Afridi, alongside Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, on Dec 29, 2015.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Imran Khan had said “construction of a state of the art cancer hospital in Peshawar was his dream which has now come true”.
Located in Hayatabad area of provincial capital, the eight-storey hospital will have 20 chemotherapy beds, six emergency room beds, 12 admission beds, two intensive care units beds, radiology services including mammography, plain radiology and ultrasonography and a pathology laboratory.
