Instagram now lets you ‘mute’ accounts without unfollowing them

The world’s largest social pictures and video sharing application Instagram, officially owned by Facebook, has recently launched and introduced its latest ‘Mute’ feature.

The ‘Mute’ feature allows users to mute or hide posts of those subscribers that one does not want to follow, without unfollowing them permanently.

All you have to do is click on the option (…) which leads to the menu bar in the corner of every post update. There you will see an option to mute posts, or even mute both post and story from that particular account / subscriber.

Users can also mute posts and stories by pressing and holding on a story or from a profile.

The Mute feature will be available for all Andriod and iOS users in the coming weeks.
